At Sonico we are aware that users don't currently have a platform that allows them to constantly stay in touch with their real-life friends and family. The alternatives are discouraging: fake users, irrelevant relationships, unlimited invitations from random people and constant spam to groups and profiles.

Sonico's aim is to fill this need and provide a set of social applications that allow users to locate and connect with friends in a private, secure and organized environment. In order to achieve that, we have developed a proactive moderation system and have a team of professionals dedicated solely to assure the authenticity of the information and profiles.

We are completely sold on the idea that your experience at Sonico will be more interesting and entertaining with a 'real' and legitimate network of friends.

The people who make Sonico possible

Management team

Rodrigo Teijeiro (30)

Founder and Chief Executive Officer

Bachelor in Business Administration from the University of Southern California (USA), Rodrigo also has former Economics studies at the Universidad de San Andrés (Arg). An Internet addict since 1994 and a hardcore challenges fan, he has created and developed a wide range of successful online businesses.

As CEO of the company he founded in 2002, among his many tasks Rodrigo is in charge of the overall product strategy and virality.

A natural born competitor, his passions include extreme sports like kitesurf, spending hours playing Age of Empires or Civilization, enjoying big dinners at barbecue restaurants and spending some quality time with Manu and Pata.

Tomas O'Farrell (29)

Partner and Chief Marketing Officer

Bachelor in Business Administration from the Universidad de San Andrés (Arg), Tomás discovered his Internet passion during a 1-year experience at Babson College (USA).

After a short experience in a domain name registration startup, Tomás has been 100% committed with the company almost since its foundation in 2002. Currently he is in charge of the Marketing Department and development of the company's digital properties.

Completely addicted to reading, he is interested in almost every subject. When not at Sonico, he's struggling with Chinese lessons (3 long years and counting) and trying to play a decent round of golf. Lately he's been quite busy with Guille planning their marriage for May 2009.

Alvaro Teijeiro (27)

Partner and Chief Information Officer

Alvaro studied Business Administration at the Universidad de San Andrés (Arg), to later pursue his calling and specialize in the technical challenges of online applications.

At Sonico he has done diverse tasks such as SEO and PPC, functional analysis and even coding when necessary. Currently, he is responsible for all Technology and Development at Sonico, which means he doesn't have much spare time.

When he can finally unplug from servers and uploads, Alvaro loves going to the movies with Johy, a glorious 'asado' with some friends, and running away to some remote place for a bit of kitesurfing.

Gustavo Victorica (27)

Chief Financial Officer

Gustavo studied Economy at the Universidad de San Andrés (Arg), having former studies at The Warthon School from the University of Pennsylvania (Penn), where he got a major in corporative finances.

Inside Sonico he is known as a human data warehouse, which gave him the nickname 'The Oracle'. Gustavo admits his perverse TV series addiction and his frustrated rockstar status.

Antón Chalbaud (30)

Chief Revenue Officer

Antón studied Business Administration at the Universidad de San Andrés (Arg) and has a major in Small Enterprises Direction at the IAE (DPME), both in Argentina.

In 1998 he had his first experience in the Internet industry partnering several projects. Between 2002 and 2006 he was the CEO (and co-founder) of Mediarythmin / e.PEXO, an interactive marketing agency where he commanded the strategy of important companies, such as Hewlett-Packard, Unicef, Nextel and The Rolling Stone Magazine.

Since 2006 Antón is in charge of Sonico’s commercial team and has created strategies and campaigns focused on developing new businesses in mobile platforms and Internet.

In his heart of hearts, his musical knowledge and talent are outstanding, as well as his extreme passion for watches and glasses.
